"My room, 818, was upgraded after I called ahead, which was a very thoughtful gesture. It also came equipped with a mini-fridge and a massager. While I don't frequently stay at InterContinental properties, I was very grateful for these thoughtful touches. As I have a sleep disorder, I always travel with my CPAP machine, and the cleanliness of the room is crucial for a good night's sleep. I was delighted that the room was impeccably clean, with virtually no dust. When I found the standard pillow uncomfortable, the manager kindly provided a memory foam pillow for me. Although the breakfast selection wasn't particularly extensive, the staff member at the breakfast entrance asking for room numbers seemed a bit stiff, and the laundry room was inconveniently located with too few machines and no staff available for overnight drying assistance, the overall stay was still very comfortable. A special thank you to JASON."

"I had a wonderful stay at Blossom House in Qingyan Ancient Town, Guiyang. The location couldn't have been more convenient — it's right at the entrance to the ancient town, making it incredibly easy to explore all the charming streets and historic sights. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, always friendly, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. They even invited us to a complimentary tie-dye workshop, which was such a fun and memorable experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Qingyan!"

"The environment is very good, the room is large, although the accommodation is close to the road, it is not noisy, and the sanitation is relatively clean. It is also convenient to order takeout. The price is much more affordable than living in the center of Guiyang. The only thing that can be improved is that the hotel's shower room does not have a shelf for storing things and clothes. You need to change clothes after taking a shower, which is not very good for privacy. It can be improved."

"As it was my first trip to Guiyang, I spent a good while searching for a hotel. I didn't want the hassle of changing places, so I planned to return to the same spot every evening after my activities. It turned out to be incredibly convenient. My stay was seven days and six nights, and overall, it was a fantastic choice. The cleanliness was consistently excellent every day; you could tell the cleaning staff put a lot of effort into their work. All the staff I met at the front desk were also very polite and helpful. They offer self-service laundry, and right downstairs, there's a subway station, plenty of restaurants, and it's easy to catch a taxi. Truly, it's a super convenient location. The lobby area near the front desk is also a comfortable place to relax. At night, you can see the illuminated Twin Towers, and it's less than a five-minute walk to the 'White House'. It really is a great spot. I really outdid myself in finding this hotel, haha! If I ever visit Guiyang again, this will definitely be my top choice. I forgot to take many photos, so I'm just including one I took from the windowsill."

"Everything was excellent – the facilities, cleanliness, and ambiance were all very satisfactory, and the room size was just right. My only minor complaint is that the two rooms we were given on the first night were incredibly loud. To my surprise, there were motorcycles revving and trucks roaring by in the early hours, making for a completely sleepless night. Fortunately, they moved us to different rooms for the second night, and we had a wonderful sleep. If I visit Guiyang again, I would definitely choose to stay here."

"As a tourist, I must say the location is absolutely superb, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. There are plenty of fantastic dining and entertainment options nearby.
The facilities, however, are quite dated. The decor feels old-fashioned; surprisingly, there was even a red velvet sofa which really emphasized the vintage vibe.
Room cleanliness was generally decent, with no noticeable water stains on the faucet fixtures. However, I did encounter an issue with the linens. Upon unfolding a bath towel, I found a clump of hair inside (not sure what kind). This specific towel also felt noticeably different to the touch compared to the other clean ones, which was concerning.
On the positive side, the front desk service was excellent, and check-in was very fast."

SShishiReally enjoyed our stay here! The building looks a bit old from the outside, but inside it’s clean, cozy, and nicely done up. The staff were super friendly and always checking in to ask if we wanted breakfast, afternoon tea, or supper – all of which were free, which was a nice bonus.
The location is great too – lots of food places just downstairs, so it’s super convenient. The hotel also sent us some food recommendations which was a nice touch. Overall, comfy stay with great service. Would totally come back!

1. Strategic location: Jiaxiulou, Wenchangge, food street, morning market, a shopping mall, etc., all within walking distance.
2. Commendable service with a HUMAN TOUCH: All staff members (front desk, night+morning shift personnel, cleaners, dining area, etc.) we met were kind, generous and friendly, making their best effort to fulfill guest needs!
We arrived before noon, and Ms. Chen at the front desk offered a room upgrade to the fifth floor—the hotel’s highest floor—with immediate check-in. I liked some of the sweets available at the hotel lobby, but I couldn’t find the same variant at supermarkets and shops nearby before I left for the airport. Ms. Chen asked me to grab as many as I wanted—I felt shy, but she insisted—how generous! I forgot to thank her personally for recommending Dongshansi, where one could catch a bird’s eye view of the city, in addition to the appealing temple design. The cleaner on duty on Thursday, 13 June 2024, morning gave us extra body shampoo upon request with a friendly smile. She did a great job in keeping our room 519 spick and span, and odourless! The hotel delivered a pleasant surprise in the evening with two packs of milk, accompanied by a handwritten note!! Front desk staff were generous with bottled water.
3. Clean and spacious room, with comfortable beds: The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and well-ventilated. Of all the hotels with centralised air-conditioning systems that we stayed in different cities, this hotel’s room temperature regulation was the best, unlike others where you could feel hot even at a lower temperature! It would be ideal if the toilet room was soundproof.
4. Amenities and facilities: It’s one of the few hotels that provide self-service laundry for FREE! There’s a gym room within the same area on the fifth floor. Power banks and umbrellas, among others, are available on loan for FREE!
5. Supper and breakfast: Tasty and a wide selection of breakfast options, including noodles with sour/clear soup, prepared by professional chefs.
Overall, it was a memorable stay, offering great value for money!

GGuest UserThe hotel service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. The room decor was cozy and inviting, the bed was very comfortable for sleeping, and the room itself was very spacious. It was exceptionally quiet, perfect for a peaceful rest. I'd give the environment a full 5-star rating! The room had excellent natural light, with abundant sunshine streaming in, allowing me to soak up some sun around midday, which felt incredibly therapeutic and rejuvenating. I also visited the hotel's charming pet-friendly garden restaurant, and that experience was equally delightful. The staff there were very attentive, the setting was spacious and bright, and with ample seating, there was no need to wait.

Secondly: it is located on the 8th floor of a commercial tower.
As a 3 star rated hotel in china, it's on the high end of the scale inside.
as a solo traveller, i am mainly looking at convenience and hygiene. I booked this place for it's proximity to the train station for my early morning flight.
Arriving at the station, it took me 40 minutes to find my way to walk over to the hotel, and would have appreciated more information.
How to get there: Exit the station at the west plaza, on your right somewhere, you will find a path which leads to an underpass to cross the highway. Walk straight into the basement of the commercial building, turn left and then go up the escalators. Then the hotel's lifts are on the left as you enter the building. The current state of the elevator lobby and the lift is dire. See photos. Cigarette butts, and renovation mess.
In the reception, there was a lady in front of me that was haggling the prices of her room. Just so that you get an idea of the place.
Once I got into the room, it was fine. Quite a nice area. But there was no Aircon control, it was all centralised, but at least it was cool in Guiyang that night.
There was a wet mark on the sofa, see photo. I inspected the room for hygiene, and it was ok, clean towels, clean toilet, clean sheets, pillows didn't smell. The toilet flushes well, and shower room was clean. In fact, apart from the sofa mark and the rug condition, everything was good. I marked down the hygiene mainly from a suspicious wet mark and the state of the lobby/lift.
I used the self checkout in the morning to catch my train, since the reception was sleeping under the counter. It takes 10-15 min today walk to the station with luggage, with no rain shelter. Be aware. It is probably better to just book a hotel in a slightly better area and take a cab.

DDavid Jon HowletteI like Lavande hotels and I selected this one due to it's close proximity to the Guiyang North railway station. It was very convenient for trains, busses and metto. However activities in this neighborhood and adult products sold in the room make this inappropriate for families. It was clean and comfortable (although the temperature control panel in my room was not functional) and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a pretty good value.

I originally wanted to choose a hotel closer to the airport for my early flight the next day, but I didn't expect that it was still a long way from T2, and the hotel didn't provide airport shuttle service. I had to take a taxi with my luggage the next morning. Also, the hotel was newly opened and the decoration inside was still quite smelly.

Right from the moment we arrived, it was disappointing. We had a lot of luggage since we were traveling from Nanning, and there was no one to receive us or guide us — just a dark alley with no staff in sight. We had to call the number listed, and even then, the person on the call had no idea where we were supposed to check in. After some confusion, we had to walk around 200 meters to a completely different hotel’s service center just to check in. Even there, the service was terrible — the staff were casually chatting on WeChat and clearly had no clue what they were doing. We waited nearly 30 minutes before they finally said we should go to another hotel nearby. They gave us a room card and we moved all our luggage there, only to get a call saying the room was already booked for the next day — so we had to move again. Thankfully, we hadn’t unpacked yet, but it was still exhausting and unacceptable. Even basic things like water bottles weren’t available — we were told they would send a message in a WeChat group and they would deliver it to the room later. Seriously? Overall, the experience was chaotic, unprofessional, and stressful. The only positive part was the security staff — they were actually helpful and polite. Everything else? Not worth it.

整体体验非常差。我们带着很多行李到达时，居然没有任何人接待我们。该家酒店不接受办理入住，办理入住非常混乱，我们还得走到另一家酒店的服务台，等了30分钟，工作人员却不知道该怎么操作。后来我们被安排到另一家酒店的房间，结果又打电话来说那个房间已经被别人预订了，还得再换一次。连瓶装水都没有，要在微信群里发消息才会送来。唯一好的地方就是保安很热心。不推荐入住。整体体验非常差一个度假村行的酒店管理却做得如此之差，不知道是怎么经营下来的。
